WORKSHOPS AND LESSONS

I am deeply passionate about ceramics and teaching, and I love sharing my enthusiasm for clay with both young people and adults. I strongly believe in the healing and therapeutic power of working with clay, and I have seen first-hand how it can build confidence, focus, and wellbeing. One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is seeing the smiles, motivation, and sense of achievement people leave with after a clay session. Clay brings calm, joy, and connection — it truly makes people happier. I have been teaching ceramics in Forest Row for over ten years and am the clay modelling and pottery teacher at Michael Hall Steiner School. I also offer clay experiences and one-to-one lessons, tailored to different ages, abilities, and levels of experience.

POTTERY LESSONS FOR ADULTS AND TEENS

On Monday evenings from January to March. Students will be supported to improve their skills in clay modelling, hand building and potter's wheel techniques, as well as decorating with slips and glazes. 

ONE-TO-ONE ADULT POTTERY AND CLAY WORK

A two hour workshop in my pottery studio offering a one to one experience. This option can work as a one off activity or as part of a group of private sessions. We work depending on the level and individual interest of each student.

THROWING WEEKEND MASTERCLASS

Develop your skills on the wheel. You will have your own wheel and the opportunity to use a variety of types of clay. This two day ceramics course offers students the opportunity to develop their throwing skills and understand/apply the techniques of making and controlling thrown pots.

HOME SCHOOLING GROUP LESSONS

Clay club held at my Studio in Forest Row on Mondays 10 to 11:15. This group is for home schooled children ages 10 to 14.

SPRING TERM CLAY CLUB AT MICHAEL HALL

After school Clay club at Michael Hall Pottery Barn on Mondays 3:15 to 4:10. This group is for Michael hall students from class 4 to 8 only. Ages 10 to 14
